Hey guys! I really haven't been into cologne but with my recent divorce its time to get back into the game. My budget is really nothing over $100/150, I would hope its not that expensive haha

What do you guys recommend to me? What have you got a lot of compliments on wearing?

i usually get 2 at a time, full size bottle and i let the scent settle.
i ask for newest scent, and if i dont like anything new i pick up old school stuff lol

I would second Tom Ford Noir. I seem to get a lot of comments with Spice Bomb too.

Jean Paul Gaultier is the only one I have worn since the late 70ies. To date I continue to have strangers compliment me and ask what fragrance it is I am wearing.
Clean masculine scent last most of the day.
Sounds like a commercial but No BS this is the one that works for me. I think fragrances smell differently on each person so may not work as well for you.

Tom Ford Private Blend - Tuscan Leather or Tobacco Vanille.

Side note, Tuscan Leather is the Tom Ford scent that "smells like cocaine".

Thing is, no one can tell you which cologne to wear.

Some colognes women may like, but to you the smell may cause headaches.

Best thing is to go to a store and sample a cologne. You can take the list guys are recommending here and see which one suites your nose best.

And please don't use cologne in the morning!

That stuff was too intense for me. 60% of the time it works every time. I couldn't handle all the ladies.

Remember that if somebody can smell it before they are within arms reach, you are using too much. Your nose will desensitize, since you are at the epicenter, so learn to just put a tiny dab on (it helps that the good ones are more expensive than cocaine). And many scents work very different at low vs high strength, often unpleasant or weird if too strong (and most chicks will write you off as a real loser if you douse yourself).

And in the weird science department - clinical studies have shown that people find the body odor of potential mates to be attractive if they are genetically compatible, and unattractive if they are not (i.e. to Ms. Right you will smell good, but to Ms. Wrong you will be offputting). Mind you, this is for things like antibody compatibility and hereditary resilience, not whether she is a raving psycho bitch - for that you probably need to break into her phone and read her emails.

Different colognes will have a different smell on each individual person.

Only way to find out what works is to find some you like and try them on.

And for the love of god no "Aqua di Gino".
