I looked at the cayman and 911. I am a huge Porsche fan and I wanted one of those cars badly. One day a friend told me to look at an M3, and I was a bit hesitant since I've had pretty much every 3 series out there lol. I decided to try an M out and it was a good decision. However, one day I will get a Porsche.

A few months ago when I was looking at a replacement for my 01 M5 I was looking at:
'14 Mustang GT MT (love the look as we have a '13 V6) '11 328ixdrive coupe CPO (felt quick for a N52) '09 335xdrive CPO (didn't feel as fast as the 328 for some odd reason) In the end I chose a '13 x1 xDrive 35i |

When looking for my 335i I also looked at the STi and Golf R. The E90 just felt like the best balance of everything I wanted. I just wish they sold the E91 335i in North America.

Sadly, the S4s steering felt better then the new 335 that I cross shopped it against. I have had 4 bmws before this and never considered Audi, but BMW lost their way....for now. |

I've got all the bells and whistles. To be fair to the car, my two previous cars were a 987 Boxster S and an E60 M5, so I'm spoiled and picking nits. But all cars are so good these daystht the only way to decide is to be nit picky. I also wanted all wheel drive. |

If you change the drive select to Dynamic, the steering feels much better.

I knew I wanted a BMW, so I didn't really look at many other brands. I briefly entertained the thought of a Porsche 928, but I decided that would be unwise. I looked at: BMW E38- they were a bit too much for the mileage and condition requirements I wanted. BMW E39- Really the same as E38 E46- Great combination of sport and luxury. I will probably be sticking with BMW with my next car as well. These are the cars I will be looking at in the next few years. Z4 3.0si Coupe M235i Coupe/Gran Coupe 330i ZHP Maybe a BRZ, if their prices come down. I couldn't spend more than 20k on a car like that. |
