Crazy Story unfolding on M5board
Dealership rags my car and wrecks it on a test drive!
Its at 35 pages already and over 70 000 views, I thought the guys in Texas would want to see this. The owner of the 2007 M5 has not named the "crash" dealer yet. But here is a quick sum up of what is going on. The owner took his 07 M5 for an oil change and brake job. He got a call from the dealer the same day saying the car was involved in an accident. The dealer made up BS about sand being on the road and the driver (a tech) spun out and hit a curb. The dealer was not very good about it, they gave him a quote of $2500 in damage, which didnt seem right. So he took the car from the "crash" dealer, and took it another BMW dealer and the quote is nearing $30 000 in damage. Needless to say, the "crash" dealer is in BIG shit now. They tried to get away with only paying out $2500 in damage. Did they really think they could get away with that?

I don't get why the crash dealership is making such a big deal out of this by trying to fuck their customer over. They should just file a claim with their insurance, fix the customer car, and move on. This is why dealerships have insurance. Instead they're embarrassing themselves and generating a lot of negative attention.

i can't imagine how pissed off i would be if i had an expensive car experience like that.
i guess it's the state of things in our country, but i hate when people think they're lawyers and start demanding "half a million/personal grief" for something like this. can you legally grieve over property??? |

unfortunately this happens all the time... it's what you get when you put expensive hardware in the hands of some of these people
This happened to a guy I met in the S2000 club a few years back, it still pops up on Google as #4 when you search for the dealer name. http://bad-car-dealer.blogspot.com/
