New to site and to the E60 M5...Please Help!!

Was racing my friend in his SRT 8 300 today and when we took off I noticed that my car had a loud chatter sound coming from engine and my oil dropped from 0.8L to 0.4L in just a few mins. I pulled over and let car set for about 30 mins and restarted it and oil still at 0.4L so I drove home and drove up town later and oil is staying stable now. There was no loss of power at all and car runs fine now, it's only during hard acceleration that I hear chattering and notice oil drop. What do u guys think may be the issue of the chattering and oil drop?

Get a leak down and compression test done and make sure they are done while the engine is warm so the rings are sealing pretty well.
Chattering noise is usually not a good thing but we won't jump to conclusions.
Also try to get an oil sample out to black stone for analysis.
See if there's any metal shavings in the oil filter housing.

Good luck with everything.
