Those little details that make a watch

I thought it would be interesting to see some of those fine little details that people love about their watches. I don't care if it is amazing photography, but there are so many cool little details in a watch - indices, hands, sub-dial design, engraving, etc...
My entry will be the buckle, crown, and pusher on my Vacheron Constantin Overseas Generation 2 Deal Time.

I love the Maltese Cross design of the buckle and how the crown and screw down mechanism on the pusher are so nicely "fluted".

Would love to see some of the little details you love about your watch/watches.

Thank you for your kind words.

To keep this thread focused, I'll send you to the "wrist shot" thread and I have posted it there. Lot's of GREAT watches in that thread.

I love the red ceramic bezel on my Christopher Ward trident GMT diver. The red makes it pop in different lighting. I also love the hands. Love the fact they didn't try to copy Rolex or other Diver watches with the hands and did it their own way.

Lovely. A good red is difficult to do and that looks great! Thanks for sharing.

For me, it's the face of the watch itself. I've never owned a watch with an exposed core, so this is definitely one of my favorites.

Like that. I'm not familiar with it. Who makes it? I love the dauphine hands and the applied Arabic hour numbers? Are those actually blue (probably blued steel) or is that a trick of the light? Thanks for sharing.

It's an AkribosXXIV Saturnos Automatic Skeleton. Bought it on Jackthreads several years ago for a pretty decent deal. The numbers are actually blue, the band was black but broke from wear. Figured since I don't have any lighter colored bands yet I fitted it with a grey one.

Can get this particular model on Amazon now for about $100. Good everyday watch, gets compliments all the time.

I bought this watch last year, it's sort of retro and I like it, but it;s rather thick and heavy and you do have to wind it.

Was looking this back over... here is another little detail I love. On this watch (A VC Tranditionelle small seconds in platinum) I love the way it plays with light - a mix of brushed and polished on the hands - you can see it compared to its Patrimony Date sibling - under harsh ugly light.

The markers are super reflective... Arty photo included for example was not retouched at all. The exposure was wonky, but it was in the dark with sunlight hitting it at an angle.

I can't send the pictures without resizing them when I am on the phone but that doesn't hamper me from voicing out about the details
Mostly, it's about Rolex. Rolex's Cerachrome Bezel.
The bold numbers on the new 116500 Cerachrome Daytona and also other models bearing these bold numbers on the bezel
Rehaut or inner walls surrounding across the dial bearing Rolex namescript along with serial numbers
Lazer etched logo at 6 o'clock
A very crowded labeling adorning the dial
Roman Numbers

Vacheron Constantin :
Logo on the clasp as jtodd showed us here
Lugs design
Generally, I like to see transparent caseback that enables to see the movement
