Anybody ever get lightheaded or dizzy from wheel cleaner?
I tried a new wheel cleaner today, one which binds to the metal and changes color when applied and I found myself feeling lightheaded and dizzy afterwards. Not sure if this is related to the new wheel cleaner or something else? For what it’s worth, I did use the wheel cleaner in my driveway in the open air. Anybody else ever have an issue like this or is it just me?

All of the thioglycolate based iron cleaners smell like death...just some worse than others. Maybe you're just super sensitive or a updrift in wind as you breathed in....
If you coat your wheels, you should not need iron cleaner but simple leftover shampoo will remove the dust easily (presuming you are keeping ontop of you washes) and not cleaning your wheels every 6 months ;-) |

Any chance it's from squatting and then getting up? I have slightly low BP and if I squat a while (i.e. to clean wheels) then get up I sometimes get light headed for a few seconds.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It wasn’t my BP. I know I am somewhat sensitive to smells as I tend to get a little dizzy if I go into a pool store. But this was very odd, I washed my car and then about an hour later, I was feeling light headed and dizzy and somewhat confused. Hazy feeling. I feel fairly confident it was from the wheel cleaner.

I think I found out what it was, I don’t think it was the tire cleaner. I drank about a pint of coffee in a hurry that was very, very strong and I didn’t know it. Case closed.

Do they really have to put yet another disclaimer on products, this time saying to not sniff the wheel cleaner fluid and only use as intended? LMAO j/k 😅

I've inhaled enough Brakleen to anesthetize an army, never got dizzy for a moment. I guess I'm just lucky that way. lol
I need to stop using that stuff in my basement, but I love working in the A/C. |
