Watched this weekend. Try to view at least a few of the Oscar contenders. Interesting film, one which leaves much up to inference by the viewer based on the minimal conversation between the characters. You think the plot is going one way (again, based on inference), but it takes an abrupt turn. Very solid acting and beautiful scenery. Not sure if it reaches level of being Oscar-worthy for “best film”, but is worth watching. |

Same! It finally became available on Netflix so I watched it a few days ago. It showed the wet market, China, people spreading it, etc. That movie was ahead of its time. Made me wonder if someone watched it and decided to do it for real.

I didn’t get that impression, I thought the virus came from the fruit that was consumed by the bat which dropped a piece into the pigs. The suckling pig was then sent to the casino that was eaten by her and spread through the cocktail glass and went rampant. Her infidelity in Chicago spread it in the US and killed her son and others at his school.

After watching Sean Penn on CNN, I followed his recommendation and watched “Winter on Fire”. It will reinforce how ruthless Putin and his puppet politicians and cronies. The Ukrainian people are a rare breed, strong, determined and need our support immediately.

Just kidding, of course. PS - An alternate plot to the movie could've been she created the virus in GOOP laboratories to sell jade eggs as a cure-all.

Watched The French Dispatch last night. Great movie, but definitely an acquired taste for some, you have to be a fan/familiar of Wes Anderson's artistic style to really enjoy it.

Watched Quantum of Solace for the who knows how many-ith time last night.
It is probably the worst loved Craig Bond film, but it is special to me as it was the first movie date I took my wife on. It also has one of the best car scenes in all movies in it. |

Crazy as this may sound I once worked with a girl back at the office who looked quite similar to Margot. I literally saw the minds of grown men reduced to jello and unable to speak coherently when she would give a presentation.. She used to pack the house. Nobody missed those meetings. Her effect was especially noticeable when she wore a camisole under a jacket. Amazing looking gal.

I must say that I truly enjoyed the new Batman flick. Pattinson fit the bill despite my reservations. I liked the more realistic take on the bat mobile and his bat cycle too. This is the first DC movie I've enjoyed in a really long time (…the last DC movie I enjoyed was Wonder Woman) and was a fitting replacement for the Bale films……which I also really enjoyed.
