What auto gearbox in 530xd lci?

Hi, I just bought a 530xd 03/2007 lci (it got the new silver gear shifter). Which gearbox is in my car. I know that the 530d lci got the upgraded zf gearbox rated at 700nm. But I also read that the 530xd still got the old one rated at 600nm. What is true and which one does my car have?

Thanks.

The automatic transmission for your build date would be the ZF GA6HP26Z. Manual transmission would be the ZF GS6X53DZ.

Thanks, but I believe that most if not all BMWs with the zf26/zf28 will say GA6HP26Z even if it's the 2nd gen 6hp26 (6hp28).

I show that only the RWD versions got the 2nd gen (6hp28). But if you wanted to be sure, you can look at the type plate on the transmission. The cast area should say 26/28, but if it doesn't or just says 6hp-26, you can verify it by the stamped model number. It will be 1068 010 xxx for a 6hp26 and 1068 040 xxx for a 6hp28.

BTW, this forum is basically dead. For anything in common with an e90, I would look there as it is pretty active. Alternatively, 5series.net is pretty active.
