420whp RX-7 in the Canyons
Made a short video driving around some L.A canyons. The video does a great job illustrating how responsive the EFR 8374 turbo really is.

Nice, I loved my FD when it was running right. One of my favorite cars of all time despite the potential headaches they can provide. Having owned all of the JDM 'muscle cars' from that time period I can definitely say the FD had the most balance.

yup they have a different "rulebook" but once you get it working right and tuned safe to last, its totally unique experience. Unfortunately my DD E39 M5 has been much more of a headache vs my FD.

gotta live the rotary. I had a FC TII and it was great. Had a few issues to start, but after a rebuilt, larger turbo, injectors, Microtech then thing ran like a beast. Would kill most cars on the street and the look on peoples face when they as me if its a porche... i'm like no, its just a 1987 RX7.

lmao...all that power/weight and not even a HINT of countersteer until you go to exit that one corner in second, and no decent rotation on power whatsoever. I would say you can MAYBE handle a NA FB in anger.

Looks like the engine and gearbox mounts are at their limit under all that power, love the way you can see the shifter lifting up trying to break into the cabin under acceleration? Or is it just my imagination, who knows

If you want to see me countersteer and "handle" my car you can watch this video.. Midway through until the end gets fun. Did a one take with Matt, I basically live next to Angeles Crest so why not.

Sweet car. They seem like lots of fun to drive. My only experience in an FD is in Assetto Corsa.

Nice video, I guess maybe you can handle A NA RX8? Your corner entry is bad, your kinetics are ok but need some work and you need to get the power primed a little earlier with that laggy ass turbo. You also need to get more comfortable smoothly riding the rear on its edge on exit, usually I'm waiting...waiting for you to maximize your rear grip then you ask for a little too much and it busts out. |

Nice FD man. That "One Take" was an enjoyable one as a rotary owner myself.
