545i transmission

My friend recently bought a 2005 E60 545i with 160k miles for $2k. There are major issues with the car and the main is the transmission. He needs a transmission swap ASAP. In my opinion it will coat him at least 5k for a transmission. Any advice? Here are a few pics.
