The embargo is lifted. Probably why they released the 1/4 mile time, today, for the Z06. 10.6. Official 1/4 mile.

This car looks like an absolute track weapon.

Great video, OP.. Speaking of Chris Harris and Porsche, I ran across this Singer video the other day. Really cool and the sounds are glorious! Love what Rob Dickinson does with Singer and the 964!

When was the last time you actually went to a track? GT3s and GT3RSs are the single most common model you'll see at any given trackday in CA.

These videos hit differently as I get older and the cars feel more unaffordable, difficult to obtain even if you have the money, and unrelatable

You don’t need a GT3 RS to be a happy person. The new one is basically a street-legal track car. No one should be driving this car on public roads. On the track you will never get to test out this car’s limits because your own skills will be far more limiting. Something like 992 GTS or Turbo, or the non-RS GT3, would make much more sense for 99.9% of people, even if they plan to track.

How do you know what someone else's skills are? Plenty of people can drive this car well. Also, you don't have to be Randy Pobst to enjoy it on a track.

You must be fun at parties.

If I could buy 1 of these, I'd be driving it. Pointless to buy otherwise.

You definitely wouldn't get anything out of it unless you were at the track with it. It's not really fast in a straight line, because it's not made for that. It's just a linear power band like the rest of the cars these days. I miss the power kick from the older days cars. Nothing, nothing, snap.

I do enjoy watching Harris, ( deep down I want his job ) the GT3 RS is a beast and I'd love to do a few laps in it. At my age now I'm just happy to take my old 993 out for a drive on the twisty's. For me there is nothing better than an empty road with some beautiful scenery, some curves and the pure pleasure of an nice afternoon out and about. Dammit, I've turned into my father. God rest John Edmund Murphy's soul.
