Bar and Gameroom looking a little tired...had some stone tiles laying around form the last project (the one's the wife rejected in the bathroom).

So - bar is mine, she has no say.

Out with the signed pictures, in with the stone. From that, also painted and cleaned up the gameroom.

But then - decided to do something nice for the wife anyway. Added a 54 bottle wine fridge.

Then shit got messy again...but ended up with more shelves and nice bar lighting that changes colors.

Hard to see, but put in a stone pillar in the middle of the long shelves for added support. Only issue is that since I moved the Vodka from the left to the right...I don't have the shelves high enough to hold the bottle of Belvedere. I'll need to drill some more holes.

Great looking bar. I'm really loving the look because I'm totally biased: One of my company's products is right there in the photo. Love seeing our products in the wild.

Sorry, no can do. I like to keep the really personal stuff, like where I work, outta this forum.

I do love what you've done with the space though. What an excellent place to hang. Nice work!

Lol that was alot! I'll be having two more videos. One finished video where she has all her stuff in and organized. The 2nd video will be a cost breakdown of how much everything cost and what it would cost if you had a contractor do the work.

The tiny cabin is done!

The last step was to install a military surplus cargo net about 30 feet in the air, suspended over the cabin. The cabin is surrounded by a couple 120+ foot tall Doug Fir trees that are pretty brittle and like to toss down big tree branch missiles during wind storms. The idea is to catch, contain, or hopefully just slow them down before impact. Hopefully eliminating or at least minimizing damage. It's really great to have friends with an old utility company bucket truck. Man that thing is handy!

A couple folks have DM'd me asking what this thing cost to build. We did 100% of the work ourselves, with the exception of the steel roof which a buddy of mine did for a steep discount off "retail". I totaled up the receipts today and we are sitting at $16k all in, including the structure, electrical (solar, 3k watt inverter, batteries, lighting), kitchenette with fresh and gray water tanks, decoration, etc.

First camp out is tonight!

Not necessarily a "house" project, but I'm proud of it so I wanted to show it off. My son got stuck under his bed (converted crib) so we just put the mattress on the floor. He then refused to take a nap, and just thought it was dark play time. Wife wanted a "platform" bed for him, but all the ones we could find were $250+. I spent $90 on this, including a $30 set of clamps and a $30 set of forstner bits. My son LOVES it; for the first time in over a week he laid down and took a nap in it (he is still sleeping while I'm writing this up). Unsure on how we want to finish it, wife kind of wants to paint it, I kind of want to stain it, but we also might just leave it raw. This was also my first time using a pocket hole jig (supplied by my father who hates using it). I think it turned out pretty darn good.
