E60 starting problems. Video inside

Hi, my 2007 525i is having problems starting. It makes a loud grunting/screeching noise when cranking. It'll act like it's about to start then it'll slowly die out. Sometimes it drags out, sometimes it barely does anything. After a few rounds, it'll eventually start but very roughly. After it starts though, it runs great and there are no errors or funny sounds. It started when I got in for the first time after I let someone else drive it for a few days. I did notice the oil was below minimum when I got in and couldn't start it so I added a quart but I'm not sure how accurate the sensor is because it showed max the last time I was in the vehicle just less than a week ago. Either wasy, I added a quart and it's at max again. That's the only sign of anything I know of that could have any doing with this. Oh well another is I've been getting a high battery drain warning every now and then lately but I checked the battery and it seems to be fine. Any starting points to what may be going on? I have a pretty thorough diagnosis tool that shows live data if that could be of any help. Thanks.
