It takes a pattern of idiocy to really make an employer think less of you. I mean I've had plenty of people that have worked for me that have messed up once or twice, but it wasn't a big deal. I've also had plenty of people who were just morons, so they didn't get any responsibilities.

What about the job makes you feel this way? Are there parts of the job that you hate? Things that you like? Do you enjoy the environment of the company you are at? Do you feel the commute is something you no longer wish to do and is possibly adding to the strain of this? Do you feel like that you are being under valued or under utilized where you currently are at? These are all questions you need to ask yourself also. My last job if I chose one thing I hated the most (besides being underpaid) was my commute. It was draining on me. I didn't like having to drive beyond aggressive everyday. I ended up going into and getting home from work in an angry, bitter mood. My roommates even noticed it and kept asking me why I wasn't looking for a new job. I also didn't like sitting in the amount of traffic I was doing. I spent maybe 3-4 hours a day in the car because of all this. That honestly was my main focul point of finding a new job, cutting down my commute. Now I only spend 1.5-2 hrs in the car a day without having to sit insane traffic.
What's sticking in my head is for the two years that I went to school, I pretty much gave up every social aspect of my life. I dedicated all my time to my schooling. I guess now I'm just feeling that I need a sense of accomplishment as a pay back for all this.

Yeah, def commute time is a big factor for me too. I do not want to spend more than 30 minutes commuting to work. My time outside of work means more to me than being stuck in traffic or on a train.

That is very true. Thank you.

You had mentioned that you had worked in "IT" for a few years when you were doing purchasing. In my experience, women who are in the sales part of any IT business do well, even more so when they are good looking. Some of my engineers actually will request to have women as their sales person. May be something worth thinking about. I know when we first started, I needed to know very little about the products we sold because the engineer could answer any of the more technical questions. My main responsibility was to get budget, timeline and anybody else we needed to get involved to get the deal done according to my business partner (the engineer) as that was something he was not good at personally.

Just a thought if you really were looking to change jobs. Granted, knowing nothing about what you went to school for or what you do now, this could all be of very little use to you.

That's why I went to a top 10 party school. I think I spent more time drinking than studying in college. WVU!!!!!!

Have you ever had a praline? It will change your mind about pecans.

Not a big fan of nuts. Only one I'll eat are peanuts. I also eat cashew's but those are legumes. With nuts, its more of a texture thing than anything. I am very picky about what I eat.

I know your boss probably didn't like it, but EVERY stripper takes that tumble off the pole from time to time. Get back on that horse, and you'll be fine.
