Question Coolant temp

Greetings to all. I'm new to the forum.

How do you get the coolant temp reading?

If you look in the section above you'll find the owners manual for the E90. Might want to download it and see if you can find the information you're looking for in there.

I think you mean the water temp. I have been looking al over my car to find that indicator, but clearly they don't have this future.
So difficult to guess when your engine is warmed up

Isnt shown anymore, because BMW says most people dont know how to interperate it anyway

I thought any serious cars would have water temp just like tacho. I don't want to know only when smoke rises from the hood.

Well you won't only know until then.
There is i-drive info that will pop up and/or a light on the dash that would come on if there is a problem with the water's temperature.
