Inner Bushing Rear Trailing Arm
Swapped out the original bushings today for PowerFlex polyurethane and three of the four original bushings were fairly difficult to get out. Used the drill method, followed by a vice-grip on the center, several good twists to pop out the center, and then breaking up the outer shell to get the rest.
However, the inner bushing on the driver's side came out whole! I was kind of in shock. As soon as I attached the vice grip to the center and gave the first twist I heard a popping sound (similar to what you'd hear when a stuck bolt pops loose), then with every twist I could see the entire bushing twisting out. This particular bushing was the last one I removed and the other three had been quite stubborn. So did I just get lucky, or was this bushing perhaps in bad shape? Didn't seem to have anymore play than the other three.
