Anyone know how to unlock my DVD player in my 2009 E60 so it plays DVD's while driving?

I don't think this can be done?

Wouldn't you have to have the software in iDrive that would enable video and audio playback? eg: Windows Media Player or something like that.

I know that in the aftermarket system you ground the Purple wire instead of installing it onto the reverse switch so you would need the wiring schematics. I done it in my Audi
A6 works wonderfully (but don't tell anyone). My guess is this is similar to the 7 siries and if that the case its just not worth the issue that will arise from doing this but good luck..........

It's called Video In Motion, It must be coded using a BMW computer, ask Patryk from another forum, he does it for a fee I believe :/

It can be done on pre-LCI CCC systems and LCI CIC systems through a hardware add-on or via coding with NCSExpert. The coding route is much less "intrusive" as nothing is installed in the car.

Find a reptutable coder in your area or as suggested prior, contact Patryk who can do it remotely for you. Check one of his posts out here. It should have contact info:
