Normal Tyres On Runflat Rims???
I got a puncture in my runflats. My husband suggested we change the front 2 tyres to normal tyres instead because he thinks the runflats are too noisy.
Anyways I've been calling around for quotes and the bridgestone tyre shop said to me that because my rims are made for runflats that I HAVE to put runflats on them. So I ring BMW and the lady on the phone confirmed that that is correct and I can only get runflats for my rims. Is this true??? Can someone here confirm? |

Normal tires on run flat rims
Hi, I am pretty sure you can but I would look into purchasing a space saver spare tire. Most cars that come with runflats do not have a spare. I have an e60 530i that came with run flats. I hated the way the runflats rode so I replaced them with bigger, better rims and non runflat tires and a space saver spare tire. Good luck, Brad
