Light Issues with my E60
Hello fellas!
2008 BMW 520D E60 - LCI. I bought this car last week. I have the following messages showing (shown on photo), without the corresponding faults visible on the car. I swapped the rear fog light bulbs, but I noticed that they don't turn on even when I hit the switch. Instead, the halo ring becomes slightly brighter. As shown in the photos. The fog bulbs seem wired in, but I can tell that the previous owner did something as the wiring shows it. There was LED's and I replaced with brand new OEM bulbs. Nevertheless, they don't light up. Correct me if im wrong, but my parts dealer told me that the OEM headlights are halogen H7 bulbs. The main headlights were most likely modded from OEM Halogens to Xenon. They were as they are when I bought the car last week. I don't notice any flickering, but they aren't so bright in the dark and that's a little worrying to me, considering how bright everybody elses are during the night. High beams are LED's and work just fine. No flickering whatsoever. Front fog lights are operational as shown in the photo. I was going to order new Xenons for the headlights, but since the new fog light bulbs didn't clear the faults, I wanted to ask first. I don't think that there's any bulb or blown fuse issues, or the lights wouldn't be working at all. Do you think it's a relay? Or a wiring issue? The OBD scan gives no fault codes. I have basic mechanical knowledge but limited electrical. Where should I look? Thanks for your help! |
