So I just called WORX Customer Service..........

My trimmer/edger is cutting out intermittently, doesn't seem like a battery issue. Despite being a month out of warranty I called the CS line and the following happened;
  • Got through in 2 minutes
  • auto attendant was just 1 step, not 25
  • person who answered was easy to understand and understood me (from North Carolina)
  • asked for my details and equipment details
  • asked for the problem, agreed unlikely batteries
  • said he will send me a new unit
  • took down my address etc annnnd done

I nearly fell over, was expecting an excruciating process but they stepped up. They now have me as a customer when my blower needs replacing.

Not sure why I am doing this other than to say, ....well shit I am not sure but I am gobsmacked.

Any other successful customer service stories?

Honestly i was floored. Technically I was 13 months out of warranty as I never registered the product but he didn't flinch. "well we can't have you starting summer with no trimmer can we, you good to pay the $15 shipping for a new one?". I'm like eh, what... ummmm yeah sure.

Similar experience with my Pitboss smoker/grill combo. Wasn't sure what warranty period was so decided to call since I know a year is coming up since I bought it. Had some knobs peeling and a small bubble on screen which was there since I've had it, but decided to see what they say just in case it gets worse and then I'm out of warranty.

I did have to wait on hold a few minutes, but not bad, definitely less than 10 maybe 5 or less. I don't recall the robo menu but I think it was just one option like warranty.

Anyways once they answered it was clearly someone who spoke english, I believe their customer service is out of Arizona. Told them the issue and they said they would send me replacement parts right away. Now I have the grill in NC and it took a little while to get the email that parts were shipped. Maybe 2 weeks or so and at that time we had to come back to FL for an emergency and did not know when we were going back.

I called them back to try to change the address to FL and the guy was like no worries it's easier to just resend... ok. Now I received the parts here in FL and I noticed UPS left 2 boxes on my porch up in NC. So apparently they just sent double of everything. Guess the stuff is so cheap it's not worth the hassle.

Whatever as long as no one steals the boxes before we get back I should be good to go for a while.

Let us know how things work out in the end, I'm hoping for the best!

That said, I've seen companies promise the world just to get you off the phone...

Diode Dynamics.

Had an LED fail, emailed support and got a reply with 24hrs apologizing for the issue and asking for invoice and address. Provided the info and next day had shipping info for the replacement. A couple days later it arrived at my doorstep.

By far my favorite LED accessory manufacturer.

Ashford (watches). I bought a watch from them for around $800, iirc. I tried to adjust the strap myself and accidentally broke it. Called them to see if I could buy a new strap and they said to send back the watch on their dime and they would send me a new one. I know they’re not an approved retailer for higher end watches, but their customer service is great. Yes, the watch is authentic.

Worx make good tools, I've absolutely abused my F30 multitool for all kinds of stuff it was never designed for and it just keeps going and cuts really quickly. More than can be said for all the bigger brand 'pro' alternatives I tried

Never had one fail put it that way. Can confirm new unit worked with old batteries, it was the internals that were faulty, but 5 yr warranty card in hand
