Day And Night - Man
Welsh prog rock band Man formed in 1968 and released nine studio and five live albums before their 1976 breakup. Following the breakup, drummer Terry Williams joined Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, and Billy Bremner as a founding member of Rockpile, and went on after that to work with Meat Loaf and was a member of Dire Straits from 1982-1988. The other members also had plenty of less well-known post-Man projects. Man reformed (without Williams) in 1983, and with numerous personnel changes over the decades (many but not all of the pre-1976 members have passed away) remains active today. Of the albums released prior to the 1976 breakup, two studio and one live album charted in the UK, reaching positions in the 20s. Since reforming in 1983, they have released 8 more studio albums (most recently in 2019) and 3 live albums. Numerous "bootleg" albums have also come out over the years from archived material. While they were most often described as a psychedelic and/or prog band, and they were known for extended live improvisations, Day and Night comes in at a modest 4:12 and has more of an up-tempo country-rock feel to it.
