BMW TPMS Question

I have a 2010 535xi, and I am purchasing new wheels. I dont want to use my original TPMS, so I am trying to buy new ones. I think I need a 433MHz 008 TPMS, I rather buy used than new from the dealer.
Are there specific Serial#? Can I buy TPMS from other model years?

I just dont want to put a used TPMS with my new rims & tires and then it doesnt work...

Did you realize you contradicted yourself?

NEW ones are going to set you back 100 bucks apiece. If I were you, I'd just use your old ones, unless of course they malfunctioned for some reason.

yea.. I kinda word it wrong. I wanted to keep the original TPMS on the OEM wheel and tire incase I put them back on the car.

I wanted to buy used TPMS somewhere online for my new wheels, I just didn't wanted to buy the wrong ones and have it not work when installed.

Call the dealer to get a part number, then check eBay, google and forums. There are tons of used tpms out there.

Search on Ebay, I just bought my second set from vizionmotorsports. First set was for my X3, and just bought for my E60. $172 shipped for all 4 with stems! The are not BMW or OEM (Beru), but have had no problems.
