Do it! Not much else at the price point. I think the mods on my E92 cost as much as what I paid for my E36 in a desirable color, and mine is far from being the most modded car out there! They'll just never be loved like the E46 or E9x M3s.

I also have a 77 Cherokee Chief project, 77 wagoneer, and a 84 XJ wagoneer that my dad and I share and work on. Something has to go. Maybe Ill sell the wagon when I get tired of it and get an e90 m3 to daily.
Yea, I read your GJ thread from start to finish a few weeks ago, loved it! You probably already know this, but the E9x M3 is more than worthy of a place in your garage. They're seriously great cars and stupidly easy to DD if you want to.

Beautiful Jeeps. I currently have a TJ Sahara, but have owned 3 XJ's. My favorite was a 1990 XJ Limited (white on tan) which had a similar interior to the '84 XJ Wagoneer just not as loaded. It's hard to find one of those with original paint, since many of them from that era had clear coat issues. I'm currently on the hunt for an MJ Comanche with the 4.0/5MT combo.

Jeeps and Bimmers are very similar in that they are fun to drive, and both have endless lists of mods available. They are addicting to tinker with. Pretty much all of my friends who own BMWs have also owned a Jeep at some point.

Just got rid of my wife’s WK2 and my cherry XJ Limited. Got a JT now. Too many prior Jeeps...

I have started a mad scientist quest to infuse carbon dioxide gas into water, to make my own fizzy lifting drink. How difficult could it be?????

CO2 is supposedly going to be harder to come by because it's a by-product of the refining industry, which has been stomped by the oil glut.

Or so I've read. I stocked up with a couple cases of unflavored seltzer just in case.

Buying a tank of CO2 is against the mad scientist rules! Carbon dioxide is extremely easy to manufacture in your home as an on-demand commodity, by mixing two-part dehydrated bubble powder together with water.....

More like 1 liter of *cold* H2O, 20 ml of granular citric acid, 19 ml of baking soda, and a whole lot of custom plumbing to separate the reaction from the end product.

Ultimately, I want to add a tap to our new water cooler that dispenses seltzer, but I don't think that the refrigeration unit can get cold enough to reach the ideal carbonation temperature.....

Considering getting one of those big Porsche 911 Lego kits. Have anyone done those? I know they're kind of on the pricey side, but that should keep me entertained for a few days

I'd be interested in some water infused with N2O. If you figure that one out let me know.

I decided to take care of maintenance on the weekend cars. I started with brakes on the M3.

Well I had some free time and one thing lead to another.....

I even coated the springs, shocks and plastic. I need to do the fronts tonight.

It has been done before:

https://specialty-drinks.wonderhowto...oxide-0120951/

I have no idea how much N2O can dissolve into water, or what size the resulting bubbles would be.....

Too funny, I'm in the middle of doing brakes on mine too. Pads are OK, but I don't know how old the rotors are plus they have a nice lip on them.

Was also curious to see how brushed gold finish would look on Techno Violet and I don't like it more than the polished OEM wheels. Bought this one HRE damaged to make a coffee table out of it:

Considered doing exactly what you're doing with the wheel wells too because they're filthy. Might not be a bad idea since I already have the car jacked up, but at the same time have so much more to do on the list including finishing painting the walls.

Its a quickish job to clean the fenders if you have a steamer and a good plastic brush. I agree about the wheels, LTWs are hard to beat. The clear is coming off mine, I need to have them refinished.

That's the problem, I don't have a steam cleaner.

2 my wheels are chipping as well. I'm running all rear wheels so the other ones I bought brand new. Gotta find a shop that can make them look as good as new and match the finish.
