Oh forgot to add that I ended up buying a replacement from local dealer because I needed it quickly and I wasn’t getting anywhere with their website return process for damaged items. I had to wait until that Monday to resolve and I had to leave town.

Didn’t want to deal with a restock fee from the dealer and thought I could just get money back. I guess my burn point was that I wasn’t offered a full refund or full value store credit. I guess I have Costco return policy mentality hahaha.

So is installing a part which potentially was damaged in shipping.

To be clear... it wasn’t visible that it was damaged. It broke apart only after I went to clip on the electrical connector.

I did inspect it since the box was damaged but I only checked the stem of the sensor. For those who may have ever tried to connect a wire connector, you would not think the mating end would break apart, right? It’s usually the connector end that breaks. I don’t even know how snapping in a wire connector could naturally break something, such as they accused me of...

But yes, my fault for installing it when the box was clearly damaged. Didn’t dawn on me that trying to warranty this was going to be such a hassle.
