Cherry Blossoms start blooming in Jan 2, 2024. If you wonder where I live. I live in Vancouver, Canada. The warmest winter since 80+ years ago.

Wet, windy, and 60 with big waves on the way.

I ended up driving the 77 Beetle this week so far, since wife's car is in the body shop. Big jackets and motorcycle gloves, the wind blows thru that 77 constantly, right in my face. I've tried and tried to seal those boot vents, to no avail.

Above average by a few degrees above freezings point.

Apparently we are in for a dramatic change overnight with snow on its way for tomorrow afternoon.

Tractor is fueled, plow is ready. We will get it before you do. Smart money is 4 inches. These Weather guys live for scaring the bat crap out of little old women.

This is what will pass through here before it reaches you. With snow tires on the car, it's not going to be much of a winter event.

The home we left in Northern New England is expecting 8.5" of wet snow. I'm not missing that stuff at all.

A few cancellations this morning due to poor road conditions. I'll need to make a few house calls. The X3 loves that stuff.

Well after a couple of years of "mild" winters here in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, we're due for a snowstorm early next week. As of right now, we can get 7+ inches from what I have been reading.

I guess I'll need to get some tires for the winter beater. Been running on "slicks" since I brought it

Oh yea, I've gotta pull the good ol' snowblower out also Younger brother is off to Depaul so I guess I'm the one in charge of cleaning the driveway

After the storm, it's going to drop in the mid-teens....

We've been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning for tomorrow night. Some of the regional media scarecasts are calling for 12+ inches. DOT has already pre-brined all of our highways, so we'll probably only get rain.....

Storm arriving from the Pacific. Lots of rain expected -- with cold air from the Gulf of Alaska behind the front -- and snow above 2,000-foot elevation. But my house, despite being only at 1300-foot elevation, always seems to be a snow magnet. It is 33F and snowing but I don't expect to get much. First snow of what has been a rather warm winter.

Our former neighbors are now upgraded to 14.5" with a steady 15 mph breeze and gusts to 25 mph. I had to dig our backup generator out of a 3-feet or more drift every time one of those storms passed through; that was after shoveling a 50-foot path to get to it. Today, I doubt I could make it 20 feet.

The storm is passing north of us down here in the Cincinnati region, so we're not even going to get our 1".

Tractor is all set just wished my gal old dead Hyundai SF was not taking up space in my driveway. Expecting wet snow so I mounted the plow on tractor vs the snowblower on it.
