Question Valentine One Hardwire Install

Hey guys, I just traded in my 2007e92 328i for a 2008 550 and want to hardwire my valentine one the same way I did on the 328.

I figure the wiring is pretty much the same, but I can't figure out how to release the light/button console in the headliner so I can get to the wiring.

On the 328 I could reach my fingers under the headliner near the windshield, but I can't figure it out on the 5.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Oh, and yeah the wiring in that center dome light console isn't at all the same... anyone know which plug to piggyback off of?

I used the power socket under the the glove box compartment. Remove all screws and drop that cover down, then tap onto the red wire.

That seems an awful long way away considering I'm mounting it by the rear view mirror.

Sorry, mine is a passport and I mount it on top of my rear view mirror. My cable is really long.
