Looks like a Charger, Camaro, and Mustang had a drunken 3-way.

I do like the specs though.

Grille is too tall, whole front end too tall. Something is not working.

Yeah, I agree. Maybe the Euro pedestrian regs influence the design. I don't like the grille or lower facia. Techno dash needed to get the Gamers interested in the Mustang - ugh. Not a fan of the megascreen, but hat dip to the Fox Body green guages; nice move there for FoMoCo.

But... NA V8 and a 6-spd MT. That's the attraction of this car.

At least it still has a proper parking brake instead of the stupid button on my M car.

Apparently it may be electric though.

In this and in only this case, I disagree about the screen dash.

Normally, I loathe the iPad screen thing. However, for one reason or another, I could never get on with the Mustang dash/console area. Something about it was always cheap, off, or uninteresting.

In this case, I still don't love it, but due to the screen placement, there's less of the actual console area present, and thus less that I am bothered about. It looks streamlined and to the point.

While I have never been a Mustang guy, this might be the first model I ever wanted in my garage. Doesn't look as good as the previous gen, but in the era we live in, now's about a good of a time as any to pick one up. I don't have a need nor room for a 2 door 2+2 right now, but I wish I did .

I can't do any screen that is not integrated, it's 2022, come on, looks rubbish. Neighbour has an electric X3, best part of 100K, 67 screens and none are integrated. Garbage look.

Ford Reveals Sketches of Alternative Mustang Designs Including a 4-Door Sedan

Official 2024 Ford Mustang Design Sketch Imagined A Sleek Sedan
Quote:
Ford introduced the seventh-generation Mustang yesterday, giving the iconic pony car a brand-new design inside and out. The automaker made other improvements to the car beyond its styling, like introducing the new Dark Horse performance variant. But official sketches from the Blue Oval depict at least one attractive alternative design for the car – a sleek four-door sedan.

The sketches come from Ford’s Christopher Stevens, the company’s senior exterior designer. The image with the sedan only has one illustration of the car – a profile view that clearly shows off the rear doors. The sedan retains the model’s iconic coupe-like shape, with the greenhouse’s fastback styling flowing into the short rear deck just like the two-door. The two-tone top helps hide the length, but the door handle in the rear fender haunch is hard to miss.

The existence of the Mustang Mach-E makes it seem as if a four-door Mustang sedan is possible, but building such a car as consumers continue to love their crossovers seems unlikely. The lone sketch sits among other compelling Mustang designs, with two drawings depicting the coupe with a Bugatti-like C-shaped motif around the doors.

The Mustang that Ford introduced yesterday has just two doors, with bold new styling at the front and rear fascias. Powering the redesigned Mustang will be an “all-new” 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine and a revamped 5.0-liter V8, which arrives with twin air boxes and two throttle bodies.

Ford decided that the only gearbox it will make available for the four-cylinder will be the automatic transmission, while those who want to row their own gears will have to upgrade to the V8-powered GT that’s available with both options. Manuals make up over 40 percent of GT ales.

The redesigned 2024 Ford Mustang will go on sale next summer, and we’re excited to see the variants it produces over its lifecycle. Ford set the bar high by launching its new Dark Horse trim right out of the gate, which could make around 500 horsepower (373 kilowatts) when it arrives. However, Ford has not announced the output numbers for the new Mustang models. Expect Ford to reveal the car’s performance numbers and pricing information closer to the car’s on-sale date in 2023.

Looks like a mild facelift. I wish they went further with the restyle, so it resembles the above Aston-Martin like concept. I also wish they replaced this awful manual transmission with the Tremek unit borrowed from MACH 1.

The front and center GT3 is easily the best looking S650 - should have been the basis for the production cars

Dark Horse gets the Tremek, so it's similar to the past where you need to go above a GT.

How long before this ridiculous "immersive digital cockpit" concept blocks the entire windshield??

They restyled the front, massaged the styling of the sides, and screwed the rear end with those 2D looking way-finding lights. Will have to see the back end in person to see if it really looks as bad as it does in pictures.

I like the driver centric cockpit, but not a fan of having the ordering menu screen on the dash. Why would Ford’s marketing team poll from Gen Z to dictate major aspects of design on a heritage vehicle?……

Because Gen-Z buys Mustangs and everyone older buys luxury brands.

Dark Horse any diff on engine?

Wonder if it’s about current Mach 1 prices. I might put one of these next to my Z06. convinced this might be the last MT mustang.

Loving the look of the Dark Horse! And honestly, I actually like the new look. Granted it has some design elements from other manufacturers, but I think Ford did pretty well. Still has that Mustang look….not like the G8x.

Dark Horse Coyote V8 gets forged internals and is rated at "500+hp" according to Ford. Those are healthy numbers over a stock S550 Coyote (non Mach 1 or Bullitt).
