The V12 won't fit in the mid-engine two seater and they can charge $1M+ for their mid/rear-engine V12's so yeah. lol

I'm honestly impressed because I thought it would look kinda crappy after seeing the renders and spy shots, but it looks pretty great for an SUV and it has a Ferrari V12 in it which is all that really matters. The good news is the FF and Lusso values should stay strong with these being $450k+

That's no sedan.
Fender flares are carbon in the Evo video, probably a very expensive option.

I wish Ferrari don't call it a SUV, it looks more like a crossover than even a SAV, something akin to a Panamera/Taycan Cross Turismo than Urus/DBX/Cullinan.

I am not going to even ask if it can go off-road, i doubt any buyers of the Purosangue would be putting it on anything but pavement.

Don't the Italians consider towing poor form? You have people do that for you, especially if you can afford the 400k SUV for your mistress

I don’t think Ferrari has ever called it an SUV. That word doesn’t show up anywhere on the website. It’s a lifted FF/lusso with slightly larger dimensions. I have an FF and it’s an unbelievably great all around car. This thing is going to be incredible for people that can afford it. I don’t think it’s worth 3x what an FF costs but I also can’t afford a $400k+ car so I’m going to be waiting a while. Unfortunately I don’t think these will ever lose more half their value like the FF did.

An SUV that will cost you 500k. A Ferrari with 4600 lbs curb weight. Cladded wheel arches and split headlights. What's not to love for a true enthusiast?

In all of their marketing & press releases, Ferrari has not made a single mention of it being an SUV, nor any mention of its off-road capabilities. I am sure buyers in this segment have their 4x4 squared AMG if they ever decided to concern themselves with such peasantries lol.

Yeah, looks like a MachE to me.

This will sell more, just like Porsche mainly sells SUVs now. This is the continuation of the dumbing-down of autos.

yeah towing is probably too 'blue collar' for ferrari. you pay someone else so you don't have to get your hands dirty. The article i read said there isn't even an attachment for a tow hook.

Putting in the F154 V8 TT and pricing it around 250-300k would have been the much more sensible approach.

Then everyone would complain that it doesn’t have a V12, lol. They will sell every single one of these. The V12 is a masterpiece, sensible isn’t what Ferrari is about. In a world of electrified hybrids it’s incredible that they actually made the V12 the only engine option.

Ferrari Pauses Purosangue Orders due to 2-Year Wait List

Ferrari Purosangue Orders Stopped Because Of Two-Year Wait List
Quote:
Raise your hand if you saw this coming – the Ferrari Purosangue is already a huge hit. The family-friendly Prancing Horse debuted in mid-September and it was only a couple of days later when commercial and marketing manager, Enrico Galliera, said the order books could be temporarily closed. Well, it has happened as the very same person told the Australian magazine Drive the company has stopped taking requests due to a large backlog of orders:

"It's no secret that we stopped taking orders. We had such an interest without delivering one single car. We made a decision that we thought was consistent with the positioning of Ferrari and the model."

While rival models such as the Lamborghini Urus don't have a production cap, Maranello said even before unveiling the Purosangue that it wants to keep it exclusive. The SUV will account for no more than 20 percent of the automaker's annual vehicle output. In the two and a half months that have passed since the reveal, the order books have gotten thick enough to keep Ferrari busy for a long time. Those who put their names on the dotted line right before the Italian company stopped taking requests will have to patiently wait for two years.

The Purosangue is more expensive than virtually all its rivals, with pricing in the UK starting at £313,120. That's almost double the asking price of a Lamborghini Urus. The same holds true in Australia where the four-door Ferrari retails from 728,000 AUD. Pricing for the US-spec model has yet to be disclosed, but it's estimated to kick off from $400,000.

Production is programmed to commence before the end of the year with first deliveries slated for 2023. The Purosangue will initially be a V12-only affair, although we do know its platform has been engineered to accommodate a hybrid powertrain as well. With demand being this strong, Ferrari is in no hurry to diversify the lineup early in the life cycle.
