"Requiem For a Dream" is the most depressing movie I've ever seen.

I saw "Arachnophobia" when I was young and it gave me anxiety every time I sat on the toilet for probably 5 years.

As a father, "The Impossible" is the most upsetting movie I've ever seen.

"Apostle" on Netflix was probably the most gory/gross/disgusting.

Clicked on the thread to say Jacob's Ladder, it was the first post. That movie was 2 hours of literal nightmare. Grudge a close second.

Idiocracy.

I could only take 10 minutes of that garbage. That movie sucks the brain cells out of your head.

Pinocchio.

As a kid, something just didn't feel right about it. Now as an adult, knowing what's actually going on, I realize why and it's even more disturbing. Thematically, it's a pretty messed up movie. Certainly not for little kids. I don't think the subliminal messaging in that movie completely goes over their heads either.

In continuation, because I'm a child of the 80's; I'm going to throw Faces of Death down here. To those that know, will not disagree.

Wait....whut? We live a modern day version of this movie presently. You need to stomach this one out. I feel like this movie should be required watching for this day and age. Think of it as an instructional, how-to video on how to deal with people younger than 35. To those reading who are younger than 35, don't get pissy, just accept that this is how everyone around you sees you. (I'm kidding......but not really.)

Soylent Green

I saw that movie as a child, 8-9 years old.

I was shocked by the plot.

Even as I grew older we talked a lot about that movie later on, the impact was just huge.

People under 35? Hate to tell you dude but this has infected everyone, everyone is the "ignorant expert" now. It wasnt just the youths who did this:

Mike Judge came from the future and that movie was written from his memory.

You are not wrong here.

.....but then, neither am I. The youths did not create this, they grew up with it and perfected it.

I could go on and on regarding this topic, but then again; anyone who actually tries at life could as well. It's those that I refer to as, being on "auto pilot" that are the enemy.

I never watched it (nor do I want to after what I've heard), however I've heard about the plot and the "specific scenes" and would definitely agree that it is very high up on the list. Some very twisted and disgusting stuff.
