USPS question
I need some advice from people that live in the states and are use to using USPS. I got a package (downpipes) shipped to me on the 6th of July. Till now nothing has arrived. They have done no form of update on their website in relation to this package. I gave them a call and was told to call the shipper. Now the downpipes where bought through a vendor and shipped direct from the manufacturer. Long story short the manufacturer told the vendor that he today logged a query. (about a week late in my opinion)
Does it sound like the downpipes are lost? What should I do? Thanks any help or advice would be appreciated as you can understand I am more eager for getting the downpipes than the money loss if they are gone and going through the whole claim process. Edited to add: I am in South Africa, most packages that have been sent take two weeks max but what worries me is USPS doesn't know where the package is.

I've shipped a fair amount of stuff to JoBurg and Pretoria. Two weeks for something like downpipes would be lightning fast in my book. We've had packages take 2 months with DHL, FedEx and USPS.
I'll be in the Pretoria and JoBurg area the end of October - want me to bring you a PROcede?

Hopefully they show up.
At my work we refuse to ship via USPS because tracking is not as easy as with FedEx/UPS, and we've had too many packages lost/damaged by USPS.
