Does BMW make too many good cars?
Sure this sounds completely ridiculous but the more I think about it the more I can’t make up my mind. I currently have 12’ F10 528. It’s a fantastic car up there with the e46’s and e39’s. Next year I’m due for a new one. But I can’t seriously see myself getting another F10.
Since 2012 there are just too many amazing cars to choose from now. The F06 (6 Gran Coupe) is glorious. The F33 (4 Convertible) is exciting, sexy, and surprisingly well price. The F15 (X5 xDRIVE35d) has crazy 413 torque with 38 mpg with more open space than my living room. But there were amazing choices before that still look good today. The F01 (7 Series) stills holds its own as the flagship. Then there’s the last the E’s and the nostalgia of a generation with the E89 (Z4). It doesn't have the latest technology but it’s true to the Ultimate Driving Machine spirit of the E’s. Of course that electric i3 sounds interesting at least. I’m holding judgment until I can get behind the wheel of one but certainly haven’t written that off as a possible F10 replacement. So the dilemma. BMW makes too many good cars with very different personalities. In a way, the question is more of what personality to choose? There’s sensible, exciting, luxurious, hip, spacious, and I can’t decide between them. In the past it was easier choosing a BMW. In 2014 it won’t be so easy. |

Guess it all comes down to what kind of personality you possess then match that to the model Bimmer you feel best suits it. You'd better start writing a checklist man.

after the 1-series....I can't think of another BMW I even want. the F80 M3 looks nice but I'm not sure if it will actually be "fun".
BMW, like Audi, seem to be forgetting about what it takes to make FUN cars. the F30 328 and 335 I tried were so boring that I barely consider them a true 3-series. |
