What gave it away?

My 992 is still about 55 days from lock. It should be in my hands sometime in mid/late January assuming nothing holds up transport from the port.

Are you disenchanted with the 911?

Your profile here mentions 992 on order and that you are a LEO. And I think you recently mentioned you where a LEO on rennlist on a thread I was subscribed on.


Ive had a horrible experience with both my 992's. First one PDK had a massive leak so bad Porsche just wanted to take it back.

My 2nd current 911 S drove off the lot with paddles that didnt work., Speakers rattled, then the center shifter had to be replaced. It makes a clicking noise 24/7. And I have this low harmonic drone like "honk" between 1500-1800. Ive been to 4 dealers who all say it doesn't sound normal. But they talk to Porsche and come back saying, Porsche said its a characteristic of the car... And I get the runaround since the dealer cant do anything without a computer telling them what it is these days.

So I am working on my 2nd buy back. If that doesnt fly, then I will sell it. I've had 4 911s since 2017 so I got my fill for now. But both my "covid built" 992s have been horrible. I should have keep my 2019 991.2 GTS.

In the mean time I ordered a fully loaded dravit gey / full Kylami M3 Comp X drive which I cant wait to get my hands on.

Damn! That sounds horrible. I truly hope my first 911 experience isn't riddled with issues. That'll just sour the taste for me. The M3 Comp X-Drive is a nice alternative though. Your color combo is going to look stellar.

….and while I hate to armchair quarterback most interactions caught on video, I'm going to do it here (…just like I did with the New Mexico State Trooper who got murdered on the side of the freeway): TACTICS!!!

Bad tactics make an already dangerous situation that much more potentially perilous. No effin' way would I have two bodies unsecured while a third body sits in a vehicle who/that hasn't been searched. I would've searched each person systematically and sunk them in the back of my patrol car [handcuffed]. It's easier for two law enforcers to deal with one unsecured person than it is for two law enforcers to deal with THREE unsecured persons. Ughhh! Both of them are lucky that gun jammed and they aren't dead. This situation was well within their control. They were way too comfortable.

The NM one was gut wrenching. But man, you watch one of these videos and now all YouTube recommends is police shootouts and running from police videos.

I think mine just missed the quality control mark due to being made in the height of the covid pandemic last summer. My guess is, the QA guy checked my car over via skype!

I truly hate when people ask that question. It makes it apparent that people watch too many movies and think one or two shots will stop a perpetrator. I've seen dudes take 7-8 9mm rounds and still have fight in them.

Yeah. Funny how Monday morning QBs think cops should shoot once and see if it worked, Then if not, OK shoot em again. Etc.

I'm thinking if someone ever shoots at me and I am armed I'm shooting back until slide-lock if I'm sure I'm hitting them.
