going to San Diego.... which hotel????

im gonna be down in san diego in November to catch the Chargers Colts game...

im looking for a hotel, but dont know which one to choose..... i mean, im gonna be on the west coast, so i wanna kinda have a good experience, and im gonna be there a week so i wanna relax.... so i dont think i want to stay downtown san diego... anyway, while looking at hotels, i noticed that many of them are resorts... and it got me thinking... why not stay at a nice resort, and relax while im there.... so basically thats what im looking for... a nice place, where is nicely located, not too far out of the city, preffferably not more than 20-25 minutes, but also a place where i could just relax by the pool and throw down a few drinks....

i noticed there are alot of nice places in La Jolla too... is that too far from San Diego???

i was looking at a couple Hyatt's. a sheraton.... dont really remember right now, but anyway please hit me up with some suggestions, because i want to book this week.....

gonna be ther november 7-12....

it probably going to be pretty cold during that time for hanging out at a pool.

You want ocean resort ? hotel coronado is famous and probably 20 minutes from downtown which is probably 40 minutes away from qualcomm staduim.
( very pricey )

hotels in hte middle between downtown and the stadium in an area called Hotel circle

La jolla is around 25 -30 minutes from the stadium and the same from downtown san diego and there are tons of places to stay there.

The coronado is a nice place and there's plenty to do around there. There's also the W hotel located right in the middle of things. Make sure you check out seaport village, pretty cool place to hang out and shop for crap.

I just got back from vacation in San Diego. We rented a condo on Mission Beach. They aren't that expensive this time of year because it is off season. Plus you get a full kitchen and living room. I highly recommend it!

The Hyatt at La Jolla is nice, not far from the ocean with a nice spa and gym attached and right across from a really nice Japanese restaurant though I cannot remember the name (Japango?). Never stayed in the Grand Hyatt downtown, but did drink in the bar at the top. It looked very nice as well and well situated.

La Jolla for sure. Pricey but nicey. I can't remember if it was the Hyatt but it was right in the middle of town. I give it

Mission Beach..The most dreaded beach in San Diego.

We went out to try and surf some small waves and saw a guy shooting up right in the open at 7am.

I have stayed at the "W" downtown. Close to everything, airport, etc. Very cool balcony bar overlooking the city and a very trendy lobby bar.

Any downtown hotels is very nice and of course pricey...but if you're in the budget or a little above, check out Hotel Circle on I-8...lots of chain hotels/motels there too..and even I said budget, they're actually not really bad and you're looking at around 100-150/night...enjoy the game..should be a great one...actually another good one this weekend too...Chargers vs Raiders (improved?)

BTW, I'll be in Seattle that weekend..anyone got any suggestions? 9-12 Nov.

Check out the "W" hotel, pretty pricey, but a modern look and very classy.
