I think it works ok. Easiest/quickest way to stop music and the spread fingers gesture to navigate home is ace!

Nooooo!
We took our X3M40i properly off road a few weeks ago to go camping in the mountains.
The Hill Descent control was simply amazing (first time I have ever used it in anger!)

The two honks of the horn when you lock the car with the engine running? Why not just use the same sound that is used to signal car locking when the engine is not running. It is sooo loud and obnoxious.

Hill Descent Control may rarely be used but if you need it - it can be a life saver. On the roads above Breckenridge, Colorado, many at 11,000+ feet, if you hit ice you'll be very impressed at how well it works.

I'm surprised no-one yet said the display key. I f**king hate that carbuncle.

Oh, and about gesture control. I watched a review of the 850i or some new beast recently and they said BMW had finally got it right. No consolation for the X3/4 crew, although having said that the two finger get me home I love.

the gesture I like is swatting away an unwanted phone call as if giving the caller a little back handed slap
