ipod Touch vs Iphone 4
here's the tl;dr:
* does the IPT have an email program? * can I tether my IPT to my phone via BT to use as a modem? (phone becomes modem) * differences between IPT and IP4 * I don't need a new phone! so I'm having a bit of a dilemma I have an iPad, and I love it. I basically want a portable iPad to always have with me. I have no intention to use the phone features of the iPhone because touch screen phones are not practical while driving for texting/dialing. Here is the problem I have I want internet on the go everywhere. Wifi on the streets is not something you can just depend on Now, I have EDGE on my mobile phone. Is there a way, without jail breaking the ipod touch to tether over bluetooth to my phone? I don't want an android because I do not need a phone! I need an mp3 player that can connect in my car. the iPhone 4 is a better solution for this because I can get an EDGE only line and work off that, however I don't believe the monthly price for a second line or the price for the iPhone 4 (900$ unlocked) can be really justified especially since the iphone 5 is like around the corner. Also, I do a lot of travelling so roaming with one line is not as practical, so I would need multiple phone lines! does iPod Touch have the email program? the iPod touch is a bit better because it comes with 64GB and the price is much more reasonable (400$) EDIT: as per NYCGP, the tl;dr is now at the top for the people suffering from ADD

ipod touch is exactly the same as your iPad, only smaller. No way to tether unless you have a device that can create a wi-fi hotspot from a cellular signal (although I'm not sure anyone does that on an EDGE network, I've only seen it on 3G or 4G).

I went ahead and got the iPhone 4
I figure if I dont like it as my main phone, I'll just put a dead sim in it, and use it like that
