I selfishly headed off to the track on Thursday as the floodwaters were rising up covering the back yard - I mean, 3 days open lapping at the Glen is not something to miss. Wife sent me a 'we miss you' pic that felt like there might be a hidden meaning.... (turned out the basement didn't flood, so I figured safe to come home).

Looking at this guy. He's very protective at his home, i can't get near him really, but away he's docile, good around kids, other pets, bikes, runners whatever.

No he's not mine. A sort of surrender from guy moving away. Considering taking him on. Cane corso have strong guarding so unsure if he will be okay once he's here. Probably try a trial.

Oh okay, that makes sense. Cane Corsos don't play and I would be intimated AF by one, especially if he is showing signs of being protective of his turf. Did the guy moving away give you some insight to his personality? I would imagine he is tight with the current/previous owner and may be a challenge to transfer ownership if you will. Maybe you have experience though. Good luck but I hope it works out.

The owner is still here and moving in about a month. He was only protective at his house. Wemt outside the property on walk with other animals, kids, bikes around he was docile and fine. Back to the house he wasn't my friend anymore. And yeah he's intimidating when mad. Body reminds me of a big cat like jaguar.

That's encouraging to hear he's fine when outside of his established home/territory. If that's the case, he could very well be fine at a new home.
