Greater than/equal to symbol?

How do you type in the symbol greater than/equal to.....or less than/equal to on the PC keyboard.....

I've been a MAC user all my life......and I can't figure it out on the PC keyboard. Thanks.....

or the cent symbol?

I don't know the cent symbol or greater than or equal to

I guess you could use the < or > (next to m) and highlight, and use control U to underline (that would only work in word, excell.... though not here)

In the character map, all the symbols you'd ever need are there. Go to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Character Map. Once you've found your symbol, select it, click "select" then copy, and then CTRL+V it into your document:

If you can remember the numbers 242 and 243, hold down the ALT key and type one of these numbers on the KEYPAD. This should work for most character sets. It's shorter if you use it a lot. The above is handy to find infrequently used symbols.

I found that in several Central American countries, people remember ALT-64 to get the @, because the bootleg US windows versions have keyboard maps that don't match the latin keyboards. I had to ask where to find the @ to send an email address, and had it explained to me. CM
