Seems decent, most good radar detectors will run you $400+.

I'm actually in the market to buy one soon as well.

is rador detector annoying these days with all the new gadget car have like dynamic cruise control and maybe newer GPS that send out signal that the radar would pick up? That is what i heard since I have not used a radar for over 10 years.

you can customize your settings...mine seems to be working just fine....i had an escort 8500 x50 before and i love the v1

Quote:
Valentine One is an extremely sensitive radio,
and it’s tuned exactly to the frequency bands used by all
traffic radar in the U.S. — X band, K band, Ka Band, which
includes photo. Moreover, it has two antennas, one aimed
forward and one rearward, so that it can locate the radar.
Because Valentine One is so sensitive, it can easily find
radar from the scattering of the beam, and it can find these
scatters a long time before the actual beam hits your car.

To be failsafe, the computer will always
pass extremely strong signals along for your judgment.

V1 vs. Escort is almost as bad as BMW vs. Mercedes.

dude, that still a good buy!! you can block out false alarms with gps and after 3 times, it learns to block out a false alarm

this one i think can only block the x band or something.
