I'm about to order a Concept 2 E through Amazon (because Gift Cards). Has anyone here ordered theirs from Amazon? If so, did it ship via UPS or some other carrier? UPS is very handy for me since I live near a UPS hub. Any other carrier means I need to burn a vacation day and wait for the delivery.

In one of the Q&A sections for this https://www.amazon.com/ask/questions...sAnswered=true

It says shipped FedEx - which you could probably have them hold at a terminal for self pick-up.

If you use Amazon Smile a small % of pp will go to a charity of choice.

Thanks. Although I read a comment on the E model page that said UPS. Fedex is an hour away from my house, so picking it up there is not an option. I saw on the page you linked there is a 1-800 number for Concept 2, so I'll call them tomorrow and see if they know. I spoke with an Amazon rep tonight who couldn't tell me how it was going to ship.

The Pain Cave is complete. Got the new Concept2 E set up today. Plus my Domane SL7 on the KickR Snap trainer and Wifey's Nordic Trac. Both TVs have DirecTV and Apple TV connected. I just ordered a new floor fan so I can dump the monstrosity that's taking up space in there now.

New Concept rower is good looking.
Been rowing at my gym lately and been setting the fan opening between 5 and 7, maybe a 10 twenty-minutes into the session. Wonder what’s it’s like to row in bare feet or socks ?

Just did some test rowing tonight and my lats are feeling it. I really need this thing to tone up my upper body muscles. Nice, solid piece of equipment, though.

Own a concept 2. Use it regularly and love it. It’s great workout and yes it’ll work your core.

Personally I think it'd hurt or you'd end up with chaffing/blisters.

I found this interesting. I switched from running type shoes to more 'barefoot' style shoes as a result. Can't say I noticed a massive difference but I can see why it would be better.

first time I’d seen a write-up on rowing shoes, really helpful.

I have used Concept 2 rowers in gym and that I love those. But, when I wanted to buy, it is pretty expensive and I start searching for alternatives. What do you think about this one? It seems to be cheaper, it is an upgraded version, air resistance, without a damper.

Has anyone tried something aside from Concept 2 rowers?
