Yeah, construction adhesive - called Liquid Nails. It isn't coming off. And when it does, the drywall (at the very least the paper) will be coming with it.

And I like your undermount lighting - we did the same in the kitchen, it's key! We use it a lot.

I am in awe of this thread and it's giving me some goals to aim for when I move out of CA. Right now Denver or Dallas (ish, outskirts / surrounding areas of either would do) are at the top of my list. As much as I like Seattle and would love a house with a boat garage...eh.

Some beautiful interiors, here.
Today I 'took back' my entryway. It was a covid station for the last year--Masks, sanitizer, Lysol wipes, Paper towels, shoes, boots, etc., everywhere. Early on, I did a karen silkwood scrubdown when I came home. I've relaxed that a bit now...
Anyway, got this locker from Wayfair to put all that crap in. And a new set of Flor tiles are on the way.

I did that when i first bought my house too. Little did i know they'd leave sticky shite on the window sills!

They used some kind of blue tape, it didn't leave any sticky stuff behind. I still have 4 windows with paper shades. They measured wrong

I don't have one single shade, blind or drapery in my house since I'm surrounded by miles of forest around my four acre lot. Very private.
