Tesla's port closes automatically when the car starts moving... surprising that Porsche didn't implement that on their million-dollar car.

It does not CEL but it will not hold launch control with the gas cap open.

I know cause I raced one three times this weekend and the first race the gas cap was open so the 918 bogged the launch and aborted the run. He jumped me on the second run but the third run we started at the same time:

Yeah - I did not get up close enough to see who was behind the wheel.... I was checking out a 16 Turbo S at the dealer a few weeks back and they had one coming off a truck - was Green/Black - with options was 1.2M.

ive done this on a couple of my electric cars, it doesn't do anything. Same as leaving the gas door open, but the gas cap on, in a normal car.

Because the Porsche is a sports car and weight matters... frivolous things like auto door closing capability is awesome on a luxury car but not needed, wanted or appropriate on a sports car... even at $10,000,000!!
