2020 Mini JCW GP

Hadn’t see this car discussed here. $44,000 Mini that does 164-mph. Thought it was good looking.

Those fender flares are just super ugly! The first GP was such a great car but this is a joke.

I agree. The fender flares are ugly.

Always had an attraction to the quirky minis over the years but that one looks like a pile of reindeer poo. Design engineer needs to get the axe like a Christmas goose.

Love it but not for $60k CAD - the Golf R really limits the GP to who will consider this (really just MINI enthusiasts) instead of trying to appeal to the masses.

With that said, while I will pass on the GP, the 300HP+ output will make it to the next generation JCW MINI Cooper and will be a lot more reasonable.

But at least it's a better use of i3 parts than the actual i3. The flares are made from i3 and i8 carbon scraps.

Its MSRP is actually $51900 plus tax.

Yes but add taxes and freight/PDI and you're looking at around $62,500 all in.

$50k for a Mini? Hard pass.

Add another to the ugly fender flares camp as well. Can't be easy to clean around those either...

Those flares look like cheap plastic - which they probably are. Might have looked worthwhile if they had simply made the body panels wider.

They're carbon fibre, not plastic.

They're the scraps of i3 and i8 production.

Fine by me.

Gotta find a way to get a return on the BMW i program and a way to charge $50k.

Taxes applies on all cars. Just like anything I buy, I refer to retail (msrp) before taxes.

A fully loaded 2 series m240 is already over 50k. Even my 328d msport touring was 61k back in 2016. 50k ain't going to buy you much these days.

Buys a Golf R, some nice wheels, a stronger clutch, an APR tune and a nice bumper sticker to send a message to a Mini as you pass it.
