New to BMW. Is the current 535 much of an upgrade to the 2006 525XI model? Looking

a used wagon and just drove the 535XI current model year. Is the car virtually the same on the interior/exterior and what is the fuel economy of the 525 versus the current 535XI

Yes, huge upgrade. You'll feel like you strapped a couple of turbochargers to your engine - wait, you did!

Then when you get the Dinan flash, you'll have a REALLY fast car!

Probably uses a bit more gas, look at the website.

Same upgrade you'd feel going from 325 to 335, which means it's a BIIGG difference.
Plus u get the modability of the twin turbos!
Throw the M sport kit on that baby and you have a bada$$ looking and performing E60

535 interior improved too

Besides the improved engine, the 09 interior on the 5 series is much better too. BMW finally made the inside look really good with the wood panels on the doors and the integrated wrap from the dash into the doors. And don't forget the all new comfort seats in the 09 - really one of the greatest features on the car!
