English Premier League - 2015

Lets discuss the new season that kicked off on Sat, the 8th.

Well, that didn't take long for Arsenal to implode and put their fans on suicide watch! Signing just a 37 year old goalie during the summer is not going to get you a title. Wenger still clueless. Sitting on a 100 million in the bank and he still doesn't want to spend. I'll say it again. There is no manager in professional football that has gone 8 years without a league title and still has their job. Just don't get it.

Being an Arsenal fan I was pretty annoyed at the result. But West Ham always seem to do well against us at our home ground and it's just the way it is.

Arsenal are in the pipeline to hopefully sign Benzema from Real Madrid.

Cech is good regardless of age. The team played poor against West Ham, can't blame one player for a team result.

Agreed. The 2nd goal was a giveaway by the defense and nobody came to press the player. Cech usually makes that save, though.

So, are you pro-Wenger? Why are so many Arsenal fans loyal to him? Their undefeated season is a long time ago.

It's more of a fact he honestly does have the club at his heart.

Everyone says about the money behind the club but they were in a lot of debt building their new stadium, this is now paid off a little while before the season started so now the money coming in is profit. Wenger has never been a big spender even before the stadium was though about.

We have the ability to play well, as oyou may have seen, on a good day we are unstoppable, we just beat Chelsea 1-0 in the charity shield a couple weeks ago, then we go an lose to a mediocre Premier League team like West Ham.

There is a link missing somewhere and most fans believe it's Viera / Fabregas position.

A lot of people in the UK are more concerned in getting a major CDM than a striker.

Benzema def a good add if he comes. Had they gotten Vidal he would have been the difference, but there's too much looking at the balance sheet at Arsenal.

Been a Red Devil since I was a kid due to the baby faced assassin.

Tough 10 months under David Moyes and now Louis van Gaal, who is at least buying tons of talent. Fernando Muslera and Valencia’s Nicolas Otamendi are rumored to be coming to Old Trafford shortly.

Never saw the attraction of Valencia. He's physical enough for the EPL, but lacks pace and isn't a very good defender. Unless you get Pedro, which is a good possibility, I think United will struggle at the striker position. There's always Balotelli?!

Welbeck out another 3 weeks for you Arsenal fans. Giroud is not the clinical striker that will win a title. Oh Danny boy. Why can't you ever stay healthy?

Man Utd got lucky in their first game, pretty disappointing as it wasn't a solid way to start the season. If we don't actually score against Aston Villa ...

BTW Wenger is clueless, seriously. They need some change over there, like yesterday.

It's been debated by every pundit and every fan. Every Arsenal fan says to me, "Well, who is going to replace him"? ANYONE I tell them. He's not SAF. Tactically, he got things wrong in the first game already and now they don't have a backup striker.

I believe Wenger wants to leave on a positive note. He doesn't want to stand down with out winning a major trophy and that's the issue. He wants to membered for the good, not being a manager who won the FA cup a couple times recently.

In other news, Man City handed Chelsea a good beating

Not a very convincing win by Arsenal.

And yes, the champions were thrashed! At least they get that fixture out of the way early. Chelsea did the double against City 2 seasons ago and look how that turned out. Still a long season ahead.

Agreed it was a poor display by Arsenal.

Hopefully the get their act together, we tend to have bad patches way to often and its not right at all.

Also, Cocquelin should be shown a 2nd yellow. I don't know why he wasn't sent off. Arsenal should be sending Lee a nice gift!

I hate these Int'l breaks. Can't wait for the EPL again this weekend! Nice little fixture between Palace and City. CP will be confident at home. I know everyone is already giving MC the title, but what's the chance that Aguero stays health? Or Kompany reverts back to last year's form? I'm still not convinced of their back 4.

I hope Kompany keeps his form up for my dream team sake!

But yes, can't wait to get the ball back rolling this weekend. We have stoke at home which tend to be quite a tough team to play against.

The last game I went to was at Stoke at home funny enough, their fans are a handful

It's a good thing you have them at home. They are always tough at the Britannia.
