From the photos shown, a very poor job IMO! I personally would be pushing for my money back and going elsewhere.

They did a terrible job prepping. Those lifted edges will never stay adhered. They also did a very crappy job trimming and cutting.
I would want a complete re-do but not sure I could trust them to get it right. |

That's an extremely poor PPF job. I recommend getting your money back, having it removed, and take it to a professional.
Completely unacceptable. Can you see the PPF on my X5? |

Did somebody actually charge you for that job? Get your money back, and for crying out loud, do NOT let these butchers touch your car again. Take your money to a well-vetted pro. This is the worst I've ever seen, including rank amateurs.

A thread like this always pops up every few months. What areas of the car did you have PPF'd, which film, and how much did you pay? Is this detailer a known quantity or new to the scene?

having installed PPF on my X5 myself, these areas are easily fixed. take it back and see if they can get the PPF to adhere in these spots. This looks like it was rushed a little toward the end or someone didn't go back with a heat gun on the edges. The cut job on this is interesting too. It should be easily fixed as long as you haven't driven it around a lot or debris hasn't gotten in the lifted spots.

That looks terrible, I wouldn’t have said five days was enough. Took a little over two weeks to wrap my G81, and they did a brilliant job. Looks like a factory Frozen car.
Also shouldn’t have mattered what condition you dropped the car off clean wise, they should’ve done a full detail before they started. At least that’s what the shop did on my two cars that I’ve had wrapped. |

The worst I've seen in ages. Just so bad. Absolutely get your money back and look elsewhere for PPF regardless of how far you have to travel, it's worth it.

Helpful context, thank you. This is a poor job and I'm sorry you're having to go through this. To everyone clamoring for a refund, the OP is not getting one. That's not typically how these things go. Work with the shop to fix the items, perhaps they can further discount the cost, and you move on with a lesson learned. Never give them any more business and perform enhanced due diligence next time around on any vendor you select. Most reviews are predicated on happy path. Focus on how a vendor behaves when something goes wrong. That will tell you everything you need to know about who they are and what they are.

Then again, I research every shop to the 9th degree, and always make sure to tell them up front that I'm super particular, so issues are rare. |

Garbage! Looks like whoever installed it was first timer! But the lack of QC and allowing that to go out the door, despicable! Money back and possible $ extra for wasting my time! Let alone any other possible damage, because with a sh*t job like that, who knows what else was done!
Good Luck! |

I've seen worse but it's still pretty bad. Some edge lifting is normal and you usually have to go back and get a couple spots trimmed but this seems excessive.

Sadly very few shops can do a perfect job, it's very tricky to get everything 100% perfect.
If you want perfection you'll have to pay for it, the best installer wont be the cheapest in the areas. If you shop by price, this is the kinda work you can expect. If you see a shop with a dirty work area, I wouldn't even ask for a quote, just leave. |
