Not true - it can over component connection. It is the HD-DVD player addon that requires the VGA cable to display 1080p

Also it seems Microsofts plan of launching 1 year early and having lots of stock this holiday season so consumers will buy 360's when Ps3 and Wii are out of stock is nto working..

Xbox 360 sales below expectations
Microsoft only managed to sell 468,000 Xbox 360 units in the month of November, quite a bit short of the 700,000 expected by analysts.

the ps3 isnt that much more expensive than a xbox 360
and the ps3 is ALOT more powerful
and thus I think if your gonna fork over a couple hundred for a video game console, you might as well fork it over to sony.
but on the other hand, personally, both xbox and ps3 are too expensive, i'd rather have a wii

it really boils on what kind of games you like to play... Like for me the reason why I got a PS3 over an XBox360 is because of mainly Metal Gear Solid 4 and GT5 thats it. Plus it is a blu ray player.

And since blu-ray won the battle, that is a good thing.
