Ya the BMS CanFlap Module can clear the light for you. A lot of the F80 guys run like this.

Can we confirm whether a CATTED downpipe will still result in a CEL - there is conflicting info about this?

Yes eventually all catted DP will cause a CEL light.

Sometimes they fail within couple months, and sometimes it takes years. There is no way to be 100% sure . Best bet is to go with a reputable brand and hope for the best.

You can get it directly from Burger Tuning or one of the vendors on the forum

the Can Flap module helps control the exhaust sound by controlling the exhaust flapper valve.
You can also use it to delete codes, control LED brightness, active sound mute ( M models),etc...
