2009 528xi aux won't select

My bmw would randomly go into fm while I had out on aux and now it won't go into aux at all, the menu shows up but won't select, I plug the aux to my phone and it recognizes but menu won't select, I'm not sure how to reset I drive since I have single cd [
I also have a sos malfunction light if that has anything to do with it

I was facing the same issue except I couldn't select SAT or Aux both was grayed out. I just unplugged my battery for like a hr and it fixed but I'm thinking my problem is needed recoding could be the same for you.
