Deals on XBox One X?

Thinking of finally playing video games again after at least a year of not playing any. My 360 is just a DVD player at this point.

Any nice XBox One X deals out there? Also, should I just save the $ & buy the S instead?

Do you have a 4K TV with HDR? Then get the X, if you only have a 1080P TV and don't plan to get a 4K within 2 years, get the S.

I'm not too sure on deals, that is a revolving door I haven't followed too closely, but I'll investigate as they recently announced the One X may get Dolby Vision support which my LG OLED has and that would sway me to get it just to have it for a 4K Bluray Player.

There is speculation that there may be a sale on Amazon for Prime Day as well. (Last year they offered $50 off of bundles)

costco sometimes has pretty good deals on them.

i switched my xbox one to an xbox one s because i got a 4k TV with HDR. The S does 4K and HDR as well. the graphics arent going to be as good as the one X,but its about $300 cheaper. i got my one S for around $180 with one controller around christmas. IMO it wasnt a big enough difference for me to spend that extra $300.

I didn't realize the S did HDR.

That does make it more about how much expendable money do you have then if you can get such a good deal. Especially if the video playback supports 4K with HDR (I'll have to look into this) as the gaming would obviously be at 1080P. And honestly I barely game much anymore and then it is PC or the Switch.

I suppose the size of your TV could play a bit of a factor here as well. If you're sitting close to a 75 4K TV and gaming at least once a week might as well go all out.

If you have a decent gaming pc, all of Xbox games are available via windows 10 with better graphics.

From what I can tell not ALL games are available for Windows. I assume you mean Play Anywhere games, which I believe means you have to buy digitally from Microsoft's store. Usually the digital prices are higher than store bought physical game prices. Not a deal breaker but certainly something to consider depending how many games you play and how you cycle through games. I prefer digital games anyway but family will buy me physical games as a gift sometimes if they know I'm interested but won't pick it up on my own.

Costco is where I've got all my gaming consoles from. There is always some deal with them (either price or adding games/controllers or both!)

yea, I got a 65" tv and sit fairly close in our living room set up.
I know it's HDR..whenever my tv displays hdr content It displays a notification bubble in the upper corner. I spent 45min yesterday racing a 135i touring cup series in Forza 7 last night in HDR. played until 1230 last night after kids went to sleep. tired today but worth it since I placed first

Just bought state of decay 2 for $30 online. Can't go wrong there.

OP Buy a PS4 instead, they got much better exclusives than xbox.

only minus the PS4 has is that its not a 4k bluray player..
i wish i could play uncharted or last of us...
that being said i still have assassin's creed origins and another game which i totally forgot what it even is, unopened sitting next to my xbox. when i was younger, i was psyched that in the future i would have enough money to buy games, nice big TV, etc so i could play games. now i have no time to play. my controller sees more action from my 7mo old using the sticks as a teether than my thumbs.

Never_Enough If you're still looking Ebay has the Xbox One X for $400 and the One S for $210. Better than the Amazon deal unless you really want the Xbox One S Starter Bundle with Rare Replay at $230.

This is only partially true. The S can do 4K and HDR pass through. It will play 4K UHD HDR blue rays and streaming content.

It cannot play games in 4K HDR. It will still game at 1080p.

If you want your games in native 4K, you have to buy the X.

Just got my XBOX ONE X at Best Buy. If you add the same item in a walmart shopping cart, it comes out to $460. Best Buy matched. 4K graphics are a nice improvement over my XBOX ONE.
