Both Sterling BMW and Irvine BMW in Orange County will host this event. Nice!

Most dealers are to cheap (BMW charges for the event) to participate.
But BMW does have to put the staff up in a hotel, pay for meals, etc. so I guess a charge for a participating dealership is normal.

Thanks for the heads up! Just signed up for the Manhattan event late June... can't wait! I actually drove the i4 M50 last Sunday and it was a lot of fun, better than what I expected.

Thank you! I just registered for one slot, my wife for the next one.

Zero interest in the edgy elephant, but very interested to try the i4M50 and M3 side by side.

I don't remember getting one after last time. I think it's only the UDEs.

Went to the event. It was a lot of fun. No M cars to drive except for a X3 M. I drove a 330e, i4 e40 and M50, iX and X7. I was pleasantly surprised by the i4 and the iX.

Fyi, I signed up for this and have noticed an excessive increase in spam calls and emails. Other than your name, there is no reason to give them a real email and phone number.

Just went today in Orlando. They had 3 XMs, a M3, and the i4 M50. Got to drive the XM and i4. If you’re booking, definitely get the earliest time slot available. I was in the first slot from 10-11 and they were letting people go beyond the window, so the waits for those in later windows are longer. Also, if they have multiple XMs go for the solo cars first to test out. I tested the XM first but then had to be out on a waiting list for the i4 when I got back. Didn’t have time to get in the M3.

Signed up in Jacksonville on May 18th. Was really hoping to see if I can drive the M2 (6'5"). But I am sure the ride is harsher than I want....

Definitely be prepared for a wait if you’re not in the first group. Didn’t expect that, so I wound up leaving before my number came up.

I agree. Since they had open times and waitlisted times, I was mistakenly under impression I would be reserved a time to drive if I selected an open slot. But my "reservation" time was the last one of the day and so I had no chance to actually drive.

They appeared to have only one each of the i4 and m3 and those both had people waiting ahead of me already when I arrived. So I was told there was no time available to drive them. Only the three XMs were sitting around but I'm not interested in it unfortunately.

If it comes around again next year, I'll definitely go at the first time of the day. Problem for me is I was trying to take my kid along so that limited me to weekends which book up fast or after school hours on weekdays.

Nashville Review:

A decent number of folks taking ... a bit longer (ahem) than the 15min. hahahaa... like 30+. The Staff team was chill and nice, and those waiting in line were a great hang.

I drove the XM and the M3 comp.

XM was meh. not big enough to be a luxury transport, and it's fast... but it's big enough to just be awkward at being fast - felt irresponsible.

M3 comp was a surprise to me. I love the S58, and it was comfortable on the road. I would not buy one for a daily. There is no way to hammer on it on public roads and really be safe or respectable I thought I would LOVE it. I like it, and it would be an interesting track/weekend car, but I would choose a 997.2 or a 991.1 over it 8 days a week.

Turns out we really did find a great sleeper all-around vehicle in the X3 m40i.

Hi Gents,

Is there age restrictions on kids for the ride along? My seven year old loves all things cars and trucks. It would be pretty cool to share the experience with him.

He can be a little impatient with long lines.

I have an upcoming slot this Saturday from 3pm to 4pm.
